NFL Week 7 is wrapping up with a double header on Monday night football. The Baltimore Ravens will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the “early” game, while the Los Angeles Chargers will travel to Arizona to play the Cardinals for the late game. This is the first double header of the season in which there is a game that starts at 9:00 est. Technically, the Cowboys and Steelers Sunday night football game back in week 5 didn’t start until well after 9:30 est. but that was because of a weather delay. This should be an exciting Monday night and both games are highly anticipated.
The Baltimore Ravens have won 4 straight games after starting out 0-2 and are one of the best teams in football. They will undoubtedly present a big challenge for the Buccaneers in week 7. Tampa has won 2 of their last 3 games and are coming off of one the best games in franchise history in which they put up 51 points and had nearly 600 yards of offense. This is going to be a very fun game. The Chargers won their week 6 game against Denver and improved to 3-2 on the year. Their defense is amongst the best in the league and they will certainly present challenges for Kyler Murray and the Cardinals. The Cardinals have had an up and down year so far with far more downs than ups, and are coming off of a 34-13 loss against the Packers. I think we will have a high scoring game in Tampa, and a very interesting game in Arizona. Without further ado, here are the Week 7 MNF plays:
Justin Herbert higher than 209.5 passing yards is the first play and this is a play for a couple of reasons Arizona has allowed the 23rd most passing yards in 2024 and Justin Hebert returned to form last week against the Broncos Denvers passing defense is really really good and I think of Justin Herbert and throw for over 230 yards against Denver. I think you can throw for 210 against Arizona. Hebert was a 5000 yard passer back in 2021, and he’s not asked to be that guy routinely. But just because he’s not asked to be that guy – doesn’t mean he still can’t throw the fastball when he needs to. I like Justin Hebert a lot and I think he’s going to let the world know that when he needs to be able to produce he can I like Justin Hebert higher than 209.5 passing yards.
Derrick Henry higher than 83.5 rushing yards is the next play and I like this play for a couple of reasons. Henry has cleared 84 rushing yards in every game but the opener against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs have a really good rushing defense and the Buccaneers Are allowing the 24th highest yards per carry against. Henry is without a doubt one of the best running backs in the NFL and you know he’s going to get the opportunity and more often the night King Henry makes the most of his opportunities. The ravens recently figured out they run the ball good things happen and this is why I like Henry higher than 83.5 rushing yards.
Rashod Bateman higher than 34.5 receiving yards is the next play and Rashod has had a bit of a bounce back year. Rashod has hit 35 yards in four out of the first six games so far and he’s been a lot better than he has in years past. He is developing into a really nice wide receiver two, and I think the opportunity will be there against Tampa – who allows a LOT of yards. Tampa may not allow as many points as other defenses, but they are 27th in yards allowed in 2024 and 29th in passing yards against. Because of this, I like Rashad Bateman higher than 34.5 receiving yards.
The JK Dobbins revenge tour has been nice to see in 2024 and I think it’s going to continue in week seven. I think the Chargers are going to be able to move the ball up and down the field on the Arizona Cardinals defense as the Cardinals are 28th in yards allowed defensively. But when the Chargers get into the red zone and when it’s Hell or high water time, I think they’re going to lean on JK Dobbins to get into the end zone. And because of this I think JK Dobbins will score. And the play is JK Dobbins higher than 0.5 rushing or receiving touchdown.
