After a Sunday slate with plenty of close games and playoff-shifting results, we’ve finally arrived at Monday night. With an important game for Denver’s playoff push against the Browns coming up, let’s look at the four best plays.
Devaughn Vele – Over 29.5 Receiving Yards
The rookie wide receiver out of Utah has had himself a nice three game stretch. Coming off of four, five, and nine target games, Vele is looking to increase his role in the Denver offense in the long run. The biggest hope here is that Denver’s receiving core is one of the weaker ones in the league, so if Vele is looking to be a reliable target, well, might as well give him the ball. He’s already cleared this line in 5 of his 8 games, and like I mentioned earlier, cleared it three times in a row.
Devaughn Vele over 29.5 receiving yards is the first play for this Monday night matchup.
Jameis Winston – Over 15.2 Fantasy Points
Jameis Winston is nonstop entertainment both on and off the field, and he’s proving himself to be a great fit for the Browns’ offense. He’s cleared this line 2 of the last 4 games he’s played, and somehow almost cleared the line in last week’s blizzard matchup with the Steelers. Going against an admittedly tough defense in the Broncos shouldn’t worry us, as they are 27th in Passes Attempted Against, meaning Jameis should be getting the volume that he loves. All we need is a consistent game from him and maybe one of his patented deep balls.
Jamies Winston over 15.2 Fantasy points is the next play.
Nick Chubb – Over 56.5 Rushing Yards
Nick Chubb had his best game in terms of rushing yards since returning from injury against the extremely tough rushing defense of the Steelers last week. The Broncos rushing defense is just as tough, 6th in the league in Rushing Yards Allowed. However, if Chubb keeps up the volume he did last week, and can continue to build confidence off of his 2 TD performance last week, he can clear this line.
Nick Chubb over 56.5 rushing yards is our next play in the matchup versus the Broncos.
Bo Nix – Over 20.5 Rushing Yards
Bo Nix seems to get better and better every week, and sneakily might be the best QB from this most recent draft class. He’s proving himself to be a good, smart quarterback who’s not afraid to use his legs. So, it’s no surprise that we’re seeing him put up some pretty decent rushing numbers. He’s also cleared this line in 5 of the last 7 games, and is currently on a 3 game streak where he cleared this line. He’s also playing against the weak Browns defense who are 23rd in Rushing Yards Allowed. I think that Bo can keep up this rushing streak, and beat the line against the Browns.
Bo Nix is the final play for the Broncos versus Browns game this Monday night.
