Week 16 Monday Night – Four BEST Plays

Another week closer to the playoffs, and more and more teams are cementing themselves as true contenders. This Monday, we’ll see the Packers take on the Saints, and we’ll see if the Packers belong in the same conversation as the Lions and Vikings. Let’s look at the four best plays for Monday night.

Josh Jacobs – Over 99.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards

Josh Jacobs is one of the best hybrid backs in the league. Putting up impressive numbers receiving and rushing, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him clear this line just on the ground. Seriously, the Saints are bottom 10 in both rushing and passing yards allowed, and he’s already cleared this line 7 out of his 14 games, including last week against the Seahawk’s tough defense. Josh Jacobs is looking to continue to impress this Monday.

Josh Jacobs over 99.5 rushing and receiving yards is the first play for this matchup.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling – Over 32.5 Receiving Yards

Since getting signed by the Saints near the end of October, MVS has been a pleasant surprise in the offense. In fact, he’s taken quite a consistent spot in the Saints offense, clearing this line all but once, and that was in his first game with the Saints. In his last two games, he’s seen 7 targets a piece, so it’s safe to say that the Saints can see the value in keeping MVS involved. While the Packers do have a relatively tough defense, they still are 16th in the league in passing yards allowed, meaning MVS should be able to keep his current five game streak of clearing this line.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling over 32.5 receiving yards is the next play for the game this Monday night.

Tucker Kraft – Over 29.5 Receiving Yards

Tucker Kraft has been the definition of consistent this season, seeing at least two targets in all but one game this year. This consistency has allowed Kraft to clear this 29.5 line in 9 of his 14 games. The Saints also give up an average of 54 receiving yards to tight ends, which will definitely help Tucker Kraft keep his targets up. Finally, on top of all this, Kraft currently has a 73.2% catch rate, making him one of the most sure handed tight ends in the league. If all this doesn’t scream that Kraft is a safe pick, then I don’t know what else does.

Tucker Kraft over 29.5 receiving yards is the next play for the matchup between the Saints and Packers.

Jayden Reed – Over 39.5 Receiving Yards

Jayden Reed is proving to be a great slot receiver in a confusing Green Bay receiving core. While he’s been up and down yards wise, he’s been consistently getting targets, which is what we need to look for. He’s had 6 or more targets in 8 of 14 games played, and he’s been averaging 14.8 yards per reception. He has cleared this line 6 out of 14 times, but going against the Saints who are 28th in passing yards allowed, this may be one of those games that Jayden Reed gets more love.

Jayden Reed over 39.5 receiving yards is the final play for Monday night.
