NFC Championship Game – Four BEST Plays

NFC Championship Game – Four BEST Plays
Credit Football Analysis

It’s almost that time, the Superbowl. But first, we need to see what team is going to represent the NFC for the chance to win it all. The Eagles and the Commanders are dueling it out this Sunday, and we’re going to look at the four best plays for that matchup.

Zach Ertz – Over 19.5 Receiving Yards

Zach Ertz is on a 4 game streak where he clears this line, and he’s only missed it three times in his 17 games this season. Enough said. Seriously though, if there’s one thing that Zach Ertz is this year, its consistent. With an average of 9.9 yards per reception and 66 receptions this season, Ertz typically finds himself getting three to four receptions a game. The Eagles have also given up 591 yards to tight ends in the regular season, and 59 of those yards were to Ertz. Ertz should be able to clear this relatively small line with ease in a game where everything is on the line.

Zach Ertz over 19.5 receiving yards is the first play for this Sunday.

Jayden Daniels – Longest Rush Over 14.5 Yards

Jayden Daniels, the rookie phenom, is an absolute monster on his legs. With 891 yards rushing on 166 attempts in the regular season, it’s no surprise a few of those break off for some big gains. He’s cleared this line in 10 games this season, and has done so in six of his last eight games. The Eagles run defense is tenth in rushing yards allowed, however, he ran for a longest rush of 29 yards against the Eagles last time they played, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him do it again.

Jayden Daniels’ longest rush over 14.5 yards is the next play for this division rivalry.

DeVonta Smith – Over 39.5 Receiving Yards

DeVonta Smith is the quintessential WR2, constantly reliable, gets a great volume, and does it all while lining up besides AJ Brown. Averaging five targets a game, DeVonta Smith has been able to see consistent volume with 833 yards on 12.3 yards per reception. He’s also cleared this line last time he played the Commanders, and has done so in 4 of his last 5 games. DeVonta is also known for breaking away for big yardage, in four games he’s had 40+ yard receptions. If he can just grab one of those, he’ll clear the line, which I think we can expect him to do this week.

DeVonta Smith over 39.5 is the next play for the NFC Championship game.

Jalen Hurts – Over 0.5 Rushing + Receiving Touchdowns

Like we said last week, Jalen Hurts’ ground game has been extremely valuable for us throughout the season. He’s now cashed this line twelve times this season with a rushing TD on 70 rushing yards last week, and I don’t see that stopping in the game that determines the NFC Champion. The biggest help is the Commanders’ run defense; 30th in yards allowed, 18th in TDs allowed. Hurts already scored on them in the first game they played this season, and he just scored a rushing TD last week against the Rams (10th in rushing TDs allowed). Even if he isn’t as efficient on the ground as last week, all we need is a good ol’ fashioned tush push and we cash.

Jalen Hurts over 0.5 rushing + receiving touchdowns is the last play for this Sunday’s afternoon championship game.
