With many trades and surprises, rises and falls, that was a fantastic 2025 NFL Draft. Fans from all over the world gathered in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to cheer for the draft picks turned by their favorite teams and to boo NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell.
John Spytek addressed many of the needs the team has, and it does look much better after 7 rounds. The new Las Vegas Raiders GM turned 9 picks into 11 after cooking 2 trades in the second round. Not bad for a rookie, huh?
But, how does the team stack now after it all? And also, which other needs does the team should address during free agency? Let’s have a quick review of the Las Vegas Raiders 2025 NFL Draft Class and how it impacts the team moving forward.
With the 6th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select… ASHTON JEANTY! Running Back, Boise State!
Last year, we had the Raiders landing the clear-cut TE1 in Brock Bowers. This year, we have that too with RB1 Ashton Jeanty. His unique combination of size, power through contact, vision, patience, and stamina made him one of the top talents in the draft.
With the 58th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select… JACK BECH! Wide Receiver, Texas Christian!

His strengths include above-average play strength, exceptional ball-tracking, strong hands with elite catch focus, and the ability to break tackles for additional yardage. Bech had a breakout senior season, leading the TCU Horned Frogs with 62 receptions for 1,034 yards and 9 touchdowns.
With the 68th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select… DARIEN PORTER! Cornerback, Iowa State!

Porter possesses an elite combination of size (6’3″, 195 lbs), length (33 1/8″ arms), and speed (4.3 forty). He earned Honorable Mention All-Big 12 honors while recording 18 tackles, 2 TFLs, 3 interceptions and 2 PBUs in 12 games and set a school record with 4 blocked kicks.
With the 98th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select… CALEB ROGERS! Offensive Guard, Texas Tech!

He is an Iron Man who logged over 4,200 career snaps and showed impressive versatility, starting games at multiple positions including Left Tackle, Left Guard, Right Guard and Right Tackle. The team is planning to have him compete for a guard spot.
With the 99th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select… CHARLES GRANT! Offensive Tackle, William & Mary!

Grant projects as a swing tackle early in his career, with potential to develop into a starter down the road. He possesses the necessary traits to become a good player and helps address the team’s need to improve their offensive line depth and protection for the upcoming season.
With the 108th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select… DONT´E THORNTON JR.! Wide Receiver, Tennessee!

At 6’5″ and 205 pounds, he’s an explosive vertical threat who ran a blazing 4.3 40 and averaged an FBS-leading 25.4 yards per reception in 2024. Excels at stacking cornerbacks, tracking deep balls, and winning contested catches at all three levels. You just know that Al Davis would’ve LOVED this pick!
With the 135th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select… TONKA HEMINGWAY! Defensive Tackle, South Carolina!

As a former edge defender with athletic feet and all-state basketball background, Tonka displays good quickness and lateral movement. Hemingway demonstrates lively movement out of his stance, ability to spy into the pocket to bat passes away, and enough bend to slice into gaps as a one-gapper.
With the 180th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select… JJ PEGUES! Defensive Tackle, Mississippi!

Standing at 6’2.5″ and 309 pounds, he’s a versatile and compact defensive lineman, with impressive change-of-direction quickness. With the 213th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select… TOMMY MELLOTT! Wide Receiver, Montana State!

While playing as a QB in college, he projects to transition to WR in the NFL. Compared to Julian Edelman and Taysom Hill, Mellot posted a remarkable 4.39 40 and demonstrated receiving potential by running routes during his pro day, which led to him being officially announced as a receiver when drafted.
With the 215th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select… CAM MILLER! Quarterback, North Dakota State!

While not as athletic as fellow Raiders’ draftee Tommy Mellott, Miller is considered a more natural thrower who will get the opportunity to develop behind Geno Smith. He brings good decision-making skills and a poised feel for the passing game.
