During an NFL offseason full of blockbuster trades, the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos have put together a deal moving WR Jaylen Waddle. The Broncos received speedy Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle and a 2026 4th-round draft pick in an attempt to extend their Super Bowl window. The Dolphins received a wealth of draft capital from Denver, including the Broncos’ 2026 1st-, 3rd-, and 4th-round picks.

The trade between the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos was announced by NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The Denver Broncos have added a true top-tier wide receiver for quarterback Bo Nix by adding Waddle to their receiving arsenal. Waddle’s elite speed and ability to create separation make him the ideal player to pair with wide receiver Courtland Sutton to maximize both players’ efforts. Denver is clearly in a “Win-Now” mode, and adding Waddle to a loaded wide receiver room in exchange for their 30th pick overall in the 2026 draft gives the Broncos’ passing game a major boost.

The Jaylen Waddle trade confirms that the Miami Dolphins are tearing down their roster as they prepare to begin rebuilding under a new head coach and general manager. By moving Waddle, the Dolphins clear long-term space in their salary cap, and with the addition of three draft picks included in this deal, Miami should be ready to reset their roster with 11 draft picks in 2026. Miami is working to rebuild its offense this season with a new quarterback and a younger, cheaper arsenal of weapons.
