The Jaguars have been BUSY early in this draft weekend, making trades on both Day 1 and Day 2. The Jaguars have 6 more selections to make today! But with 4 of those sections not coming until midway through the 6th round -for now- we are going to focus on the first 2 selections. The Jaguars are on the clock early on Saturday as they have the 2nd and 5th picks in the 4th round. There is still a ton of talented prospects on the board, lets dive into what offensive prospects fit best for the Jaguars.

What Directions May The Jaguars Go?

To figure out the best fits with our 2 selections we have to also take into account the needs of the roster. In this article we are going to focus on adding more to the offensive side of the ball. To see the overall state of the offense before the draft, you can check out this article:

Offensive Pre-Draft Breakdown: https://footballanalysis1.com/2025/04/23/jaguars-pre-draft-roster-breakdown-part-1-the-offense/

While there are no glaring needs there are definitely still areas for improvement on the offensive side of the ball. Things to be on the lookout for include:

-another playmaker (running back and wide receiver primarily)

-more depth along the offensive line being added into the fold

Lets take a look at some potential fits by position:

Wide Receiver

The Jaguars added Travis Hunter who will play wide receiver, but don’t be surprised if the team goes back to the wide receiver well on Day 3. Adding depth to the wide receiver room would be beneficial so lets see who’s still on the board:

Elic Ayomanor

Ayomanor is somebody I think this regime will love. He is a good route runner and is impressively quick despite his large frame – 6 foot 2 210 pounds. Ayomanor’s calling card may be his blocking ability. He is an active participant in the run game, planting defensive backs in the dirt on a consistent basis. That blocking ability and moldable high potential as a pass catcher should be highly coveted by this regime.

Jalen Royals

Royals is a great athlete with inside outside versatility and burners that make him a plus deep threat. He is a good route runner and has natural hands. He is great at running the routes he was tasked with, but he will need to expand his route tree to truly earn a role at the next level.

Other Names To Watch

-Tory Horton

-Ricky White

Running Back

Running back is a position I believe we can see the team explore here at the top of the 4th round. The Jaguars do have a solid duo of backs -Tank Bigsby and Travis Etienne- but Etienne’s recent struggles and expiring contract make this a position that could use some fresh feet. This regime also has no connections to either running back, so the idea of having their choice of some very exciting backs currently on the board may be enticing. Here’s some names that standout at the running back position:

Bhayshul Tuten

Tuten flies -evidenced by his 4.32 40 time- and is a truly easy mover. He combines game changing speed with incredible contact balance making him reminiscent to a pinball in the open field. He continuously bounces off tackles and makes people miss, putting up elite missed tackles forced numbers. Tuten is a smaller guy – 5 foot 9 210 pounds- but he is built super stout and compact. He is also impressively strong and physical not only while running but also in pass protection. He is an overall plus in the passing game but he will need to improve his ball security in order to maintain a full role.

Cam Skattebo

Skattebo is a wrecking ball! He carried the Arizona State offense to the College Football Playoff and was one of the most entertaining players in the nation. He is a true 3 down workhorse who is phenomenal in the passing game. Skattebo is a fantastic runner of the football, and when you pair that with his route running, pass catching and instincts in pass production, he has the makings of a guy who never has to come off the field. On top of all that, he has run scheme versatility and makes defenders miss at an elite rate -similar to former Liam Coen Day 3 selection Bucky Irving.

Dylan Sampson

Sampson is an incredibly interesting prospect. Tennessee’s offense was far from pro style which makes this a harder evaluation, but Sampson could not have possibly done more with his opportunities. Sampson was explosive, efficient and practically magnetic to the end zone. He is undersized but has workhorse ability and surprising strength -again similar to former Liam Coen Day 3 selection Bucky Irving.

Other Names To Watch

-Lequint Allen

-Devin Neal

-DJ Giddens

Tight End

Tight End is a position I wouldn’t be surprised to see an addition at, but I don’t expect it at the top of the 4th round. If a tight end were to hear their name called by Jacksonville early, I’d expect it to be Gunnar Helm. But later on in the day be on the lookout for Mitchell Evans and Luke Lachey.

Offensive Line

The offensive line has been quickly overhauled by this new regime. They have added 5 new offensive linemen. Even with that in mind, I can see them going back to the well later in Day 3, but I wouldn’t expect it in the 4th round. If it was an offensive linemen early, look out for Logan Brown and Marcus Mbow. Later on in day 3, Jackson Slater or one of the many centers are other names to look out for.

There are plenty of directions this regime can go early in the 4th round. But of course, there is another side of the ball to contemplate decisions at. We handled the offensive options here but stay tuned for the defensive options coming soon.

Thank you for reading! Check back soon for the potential defensive options and have a great day.
