Last year with the 12th selection in the 2024 NFL Draft the Denver Broncos drafted Bo Nix. The Broncos had struggled to find the right fit at quarterback for the better part of seven seasons. In what was a strong season both offensively and defensively, the Broncos made it to the Wildcard round of the playoffs. Now that the draft has concluded were gonna take a look at what the Denver Broncos have been doing in the off season to bounce back this year

As a whole the Denver Broncos have taken some very aggressive steps towards strengthening their roster. On offense they’ve brought in players such as Evan Engram. An above average tight end who is consistent in both blocking and catching. His stats last year were unfortunately stunted by a torn labrum injury that ended his season. Now that he has fully recovered he is reportedly very excited to be in the Broncos locker room feeling “excited and optimistic” by Bo Nix play style. Engram has also gone on record saying he’s excited to “be unleashed” by Payton’s offensive scheme.

On the defensive side of the football the Broncos have added some gunpowder to an already explosive defensive unit. Dre Greenlaw and Talanoa Hufanga, both coming from San Francisco will be welcome changes to the Broncos and they’re defense. After losing Inside Linebacker Cody Barton to the Titans, Denver immediately replaced him with Dre Greenlaw. Hailing from the Golden State, Greenlaw has had a spectacular career as a Pro Bowl caliber player causing mayhem on defense. As of writing this a report has come out that Greenlaw unfortunately injured his quadricep. After tragically tearing his Achilles halfway through Super Bowl 58, the injury concern is of course there but if Greenlaw can get back to full strength and stay healthy during the year he will be a wrecking ball for opposing offenses. Talanoa Hufanga is a very important addition to the Broncos roster. One of the smartest backs in the league at the moment, Hufanga is a lockdown safety who can read the field and attack the ball with amazing consistency. A ball hawk by every definition of the word. Both of these explosive vets will be welcome additions in Denver.

With the 1st round pick the Broncos had they selected Jahdae Barron out of Texas. A corner who fell further in the draft than most people expected. Jahdae is a very versatile corner, intelligent as they come at the corner position. Barron could end up being scary good at corner, he’s also joining a very well run organization with a powerhouse defense. On the offensive side Denver drafted Running Back RJ Harvey as well as Wide Receiver Pat Bryant. Harvey is an explosive receiving back, who can pass catch and run very effectively. Although he’s a little older than you may like he still has a lot of upside. Bryant is a big bodied receiver who thrives in man and stretching the field, his ability to win contested catches is incredible. With these additions the “Swiss Army Knife” offense may prove to be a challenge for opposing teams. These players the Broncos chose have lots of upside and if they workout it will make Denver look very smart in the long run.

All of these players both old and new are joining an organization that has a good foundation and lots of talent. The Denver Broncos hold their fate in their own hands. Can they rise above in a division that’s incredibly difficult and only getting better or will they fall to lesser teams as success slips through their fingers.
