Week 17 – Saturday’s Four BEST Plays

Week 17 – Saturday’s Four BEST Plays
Credit Football Analysis

It’s the most wonderful time of the year where we get the privilege of having NFL Saturdays. This Saturday, we can look forward to a triple-header, with games between the Rams vs Cardinals, Broncos vs Bengals, and Chargers vs Patriots. With all these games, and so many playoff implications, let’s look at the four best plays for Saturday.

Ladd McConkey – Over 49.5 Receiving Yards

Ladd’s sneaky athletic ability has made himself into the favorite target on the Chargers’ offense. His sure-handedness mixed with Herbert’s efficiency is truly a match made in heaven, and that’s why we love this line. He’s cleared it in 9 of 14 of his games, with a current eight game in a row streak of clearing it. He’s been averaging just around 6 receptions a game on 13.9 yards per reception, and he’s playing against the generally weak Patriots defense. With the Chargers wanting to secure themselves a decent matchup in terms of playoff seeding, they’ll still have their foot on the gas, and Ladd is a big part of that.

Ladd McConkey over 49.5 receiving yards is the first play this Saturday.

Tee Higgins – Over 49.5 Receiving Yards

Tee Higgins, the unsung hero on the Bengals offense, has continued to do what he does best this year. And that is: get the football. He’s always been a great backup option for Jamar Chase, which is always a good role to have. He’s cleared this line in 8 of his 10 games this season, and has done so against tough opponents. The Broncos are 18th in passing yards allowed this year, which is a dangerous stat to have against the high-flying Bengals offense. I think Tee will be able to clear this line like he has 80% of the time.

Tee Higgins over 49.5 receiving yards is the second play for Saturday’s December slate.

Kyren Williams – Over 105.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards

Two simple facts in life: Kyren Williams is a tank, and the Rams offense loves to run. He’s cleared this large line 5 times this year, and is currently on a two game streak of doing so. The Cardinals have been backsliding for what seems like months now, while the Rams are fighting for their lives in the NFC playoff picture. I think this is another week where Kyren is dominant on the ground, especially against a Cardinals run defense that’s 22nd in rushing yards allowed and 25th in rushing yards per attempt. Not to mention, we have that extra cushion of receiving yards, where last time these two teams matched up he found himself getting 4 receptions.

Kyren Williams over 105.5 rushing and receiving yards is the next play for this weekend’s tripleheader.

Marvin Harrison Jr. – Over 39.5 Receiving Yards

While Marv has been a bit frustrating for fantasy players this year, there’s no denying that he’s looked good this year. He’s cleared this line 8 times this year, and always finds himself with around 5 to 6 targets a game. The Rams this year have had a pretty tough defense, however, they are 10th in yards allowed to WR1s. If Marv can have himself a good game this week, then I think we’ll see him clear this line with ease against this division rival.

Marvin Harrison Jr. over 39.5 receiving yards is the final play.
