For those of us in a dynasty fantasy football league, there’s never an end to the grind. With the conclusion of the NFL draft, it’s time to start planning our next seasons, put in those last minute trades, and of course, draft our rookies. Let’s take a look at three exciting rookie wide receivers to watch out for this 2025 season.
Matthew Golden – Green Bay Packers

Matthew Golden is one of the most exciting rookies of this year. He’s one of the most exciting athletes from the draft period, and he’s going into a situation that will prove very lucrative for many years. He was the fourth (third if you don’t count Travis Hunter) wide receiver taken in the draft, meaning he’ll probably slip to the end of your first round. If you’ve got a later pick, Matthew Golden is the best option at wide receiver you could ask for.
Tre Harris – Los Angeles Chargers

Tre Harris is another wide receiver that has found himself in a fantastic situation. In a Los Angeles wide receiver room that has been struggling to find identity for years, Tre Harris’ talent will have the chance to take the spotlight. Within the depth chart, Tre Harris is only battling against an aging Mike Williams and an inconsistent Quentin Johnston (assuming that Ladd McConkey already has the WR1 slot secured), so he should easily be able to rise so long as he plays up to his potential.
Kyle Williams – New England Patriots

Kyle Williams is another wide receiver that’s falling into a situation that will allow him to hopefully break-out in year one. Williams gained a lot of traction in terms of fantasy value very recently, considering the shaky situation that is the New England WR room and his relatively high ceiling. He’s a receiver you should put in your Taxi Squad, see how he looks over this next year, and hope that he shows a bit of the potential we know he has. He’s a good pick-up for your third round.
Luther Burden III – Chicago Bears

Luther Burden has the potential to be one of the best “high-floor” rookies in this years draft. The Chicago Bears’ offense has been getting a full face-lift these past couple years, which means there’s plenty of room for rookies to break-out in the depth chart. With the arrival of both Colston Loveland and Luther Burden, we’ll see a lot of schemed plays with Caleb Williams to these rookies. Simple short passes that’ll hopefully end up in the hands of Burden, getting us a reception or two per game. This is great for a mid-to-late second round pick like Burden, making him worth a pick-up.
Tetairoa McMillan – Carolina Panthers

Finally, let’s look at the obvious choice, Tet McMillan. The reason he’s so exciting: his ceiling. With Bryce Young finally starting to fall into place, the rest of the Panthers’ wide receiver room being inconsistent at best, and the talent of Tet; we’re seeing the type of situation that makes it extremely obvious for success.
