Top 5 Rookie QBs For Your Dynasty Fantasy League

For those of us in a dynasty fantasy football league, there’s never an end to the grind. With the conclusion of the NFL draft, it’s time to start planning our next seasons, put in those last minute trades, and of course, draft our rookies. Let’s take a look at the top five quarterbacks for this 2025 season.

QB Cam Ward – Tennessee Titans

Cam Ward is easily the safest option if you need an option at QB for dynasty. He’s already got the starting nod for the Titans, and seemingly they’re going to be rolling with him for the foreseeable future. Now, the only thing that gives me pause about Cam Ward is his lack of a supporting cast. I think as a quarterback Cam Ward is simply the best in this draft class, but I think his ceiling in terms of fantasy isn’t as high as some other options in this years’ draft. Overall, I’d still take him as QB1, but if you’re desperate to fill up a QB slot, I’d consider using Cam as trade bait for something else.

QB Jaxson Dart – New York Giants

Jaxson Dart is the QB that I’d consider to have the highest ceiling in this draft class. While he won’t be getting the QB1 spot in New York right away, Jaxson has the potential to very quickly take the mantle in New York. While the plan is to have him sit the whole year, we know how things go in the NFL, especially when it comes to rookie QBs. I think, as an athlete, Jaxson Dart has a lot of potential to mesh well with the New York offense. He is my QB2 in this year’s dynasty rankings.

QB Jalen Milroe – Seattle Seahawks

Jalen Milroe is very close to being my QB2, but he just misses the mark for me. While I think he has the same potential to get the QB1 position in Seattle quickly, I think he will be waiting just a bit longer. His supporting cast when he does eventually take over is great, and I think he has a lot of athletic potential. However, as it stands, Jaxson Dart is just a bit more consistent for me. I think Milroes’ upside comes in on his legs, though, so when he gets the starting nod, he’ll be a great starter in fantasy terms.

QB Tyler Shough – New Orleans Saints

Tyler Shough is in an interesting situation. The New Orleans Saints seemingly don’t really have their QB situation figured out, so he may or may not be the one to get the starting role right away. That’s the only problem, we don’t know for sure where he stands. I also think he doesn’t really have the same athleticism as the QBs taken before him in the draft, and even QBs taken after him like Sanders or Milroe. The only reason I value him is because he has the potential to take over in New Orleans soon, and be a good backup for awhile. I’d definitely like to be proven wrong, however, as it stands, he’s my QB4.

QB Shedeur Sanders – Cleveland Browns

To round out the top five, I’ve got Shedeur Sanders. This is a guy with an opportunity to absolutely tear up the competition, or completely fizzle out. I think his ceiling is top three, and I think he’s got a good chance to climb the QB rankings in Cleveland pretty soon. His supporting cast is above average, and he’s got the athleticism to get some great fantasy points. The only problem is his floor is also the lowest I think. A true lottery ticket QB, which is why he’s my QB5.
