This season, the Los Angeles Rams and quarterback Matthew Stafford are setting a new standard for offensive excellence. That excellence was on full display last week as the Rams dominated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football. This week, the Rams look to keep their offense rolling on the road when they travel east to face the Carolina Panthers.

So far this season, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has passed for 2,830 yards in 11 games while completing 66.5% of his passes. What stands out about Stafford’s performance this year is his efficiency with 30 touchdown passes and only two interceptions. Stafford is playing at an NFL MVP level and leads the NFL with a quarterback rating of 113.7.

In addition to Stafford, the Rams offense has great playmakers for him to get the ball to, allowing him to put up his amazing stats this season. So far this season, wide receiver Puka Nacua has put up standout numbers with 80 receptions for 947 yards, playing in only 10 games. In addition, Nacua has caught 4 of Stafford’s 30 touchdown passes, and he has also added a rushing touchdown.

In the NFL, there are no trophies for playing well for 11 games. So the challenge for the Rams and Stafford is to keep performing at the elite level that they have demonstrated so far this season. That means that they need to be ready to play their best football every week, because it only takes one bad week against a team like the Carolina Panthers to flip the narrative that the Rams are one of the best teams in the NFL so far this season.
