The Cincinnati Bengals Front Office has never been an easy organization to negotiate against. This summer, the Bengals’ news releases and NFL rumors have discussed the standoff between the Bengals and 1st-Round draft pick daily. A week after Bengals owner Mike Brown stated that he did not want to give Stewart a fully guaranteed contract for his rookie deal, because Stewart “might end up in jail,” which only intensified the tension of Stewart’s holdout.

Despite all the drama, including Stewart returning to Texas A&M to work out on his own, the Cincinnati Bengals and Stewart have agreed to a 4-year fully guaranteed contract for $18.97 million, including a $10.4 million signing bonus, according to a tweet from Adam Schefter’s X account.

Now that Stewart has officially signed with the Bengals and should report to training camp as soon as possible, the only contract dispute remaining for Cincinnati is with defensive end Trey Hendrickson. Adding Stewart to the defensive line should reduce some of the concerns about the Bengals’ current defensive line depth chart for 2025. The next step for Stewart is to demonstrate that he is a viable first-round pick and can make an impact on the Bengals’ defensive line.
