The schedule is finally out, and we’re all eagerly awaiting kickoff on September 4th. If you’re an Angeleno football fan like me, you might wonder what the best games in SoFi Stadium will be this year. Here are the top 8 best NFL Games in Los Angeles that you should try to attend if you can. I will be at at least one of these games, and I hope to see some fellow fans there!

#8. Vikings @ Chargers, Thursday 10/23 5:15pm

This will be an interesting prime-time battle, and we may even have @footballanalysis visiting us for this one. Two great defensive coordinators, both potential head coach candidates, will battle. Will Jesse Minter be able to contain the two JJs? Can the Vikings’ D-Line withstand the rushing attack of rookie Omarion Hampton? We will find out the answers on Thursday night, perhaps live in SoFi.

#7. Commanders @ Chargers Sunday 10/5 @1:25PT

Any game Jayden Daniels is in is bound to be exciting, and I can’t wait to see how the Chargers defense tries to contain him. How will they approach guarding Deebo Samuel and the dynamic QB run game? The Commanders also added CB Trey Amos, a player I previously spoke highly of. If they can lock Ladd McConkey down, this could be another game where Omarion Hampton shines. Either way, it’ll definitely be a fun matchup.

#6. Texans @ Rams, Thursday 9/4 @ 1:25PST

This will be a great battle to start the Rams’ season. Young and talented CJ Stroud vs. the young, talented Rams D. Stafford starts his year against one of the best pass rush duos and secondaries in the league. Ultimately I think the Rams D Line vs the Texans struggling O Line will be to the key matchup, and I think the Rams come away with the W to start 1-0. But you never know what CJ Stroud could make happen, and this will be a very exciting game.

#5. Buccaneers @ Rams, Sunday 11/23 @ 5:20pm

It seems like forever ago, but it’s only been three years since Baker Mayfield suited up as a Ram and essentially turned around his entire career. You can bet Chris Collinsworth will remind us of this game and even show a picture like this. This will be Baker’s first time playing the Rams as a Buc, and it should be a great Sunday night QB duel. The story book moment of Baker’s return to LA should make for an amazing game.

#4. Broncos @ Chargers, Sunday 9/21 @1:05PST

Divisional matchups are always interesting based on how well the teams know each other. This one will be particularly interesting because of how the first round of the draft played out. Throughout the pre-draft process, pretty much everyone mocked Omarion Hampton to the Broncos. Will the Chargers make them regret that pick in this game? Or will their now fearsome corner duo of Pat Surtain and Jahdae Barron shut down Herbert’s offense? I can’t wait to find out!

#3. Chiefs @ Chargers, Friday 9/5 @5:00PST

Friday Night Football? Yes please! The Chargers will start their year with the Chiefs coming to town, fresh off their painful Super Bowl loss. Our first chance to see these two great teams will be against each other. To get more football the next day immediately after opening day is a treat, and to watch two great QBs against two great defenses will be a real treat.

#2. Eagles @ Chargers, Monday 12/8 @5:15PST

The Super Bowl champs are coming to LA! While the rematch of the thrilling Rams-Eagles playoff game will be in Philly, this game should be almost as good. It’s a chance for the Chargers to show that they can compete with top playoff teams and make a run this year. Given how late in the year it is, it could easily have massive playoff seeding implications for both teams. Monday night prime time will be an incredible time for this battle, and I can’t wait!

#1. Lions @ Rams, Sunday 12/14 @1:25PST

Any time these two teams meet, it’s rich with narrative. They made one of the most mutually beneficial trades in NFL history when they swapped QBs. They’re two of the best teams in the NFC, and they met in the playoffs two years ago. That was a legendary battle that ended in overtime, and I’m sure this game will be incredibly close too. I will have this on the big screen, or hopefully make it to SoFi myself to watch.
